Intro/History
Welcome to the official website of the Santa
Barbara Dart Association. The Santa Barbara Dart Association has been in
existence since 1975 and was originally called “The English Club”. The
league consisted of about 20 members in the beginning but over the years
has blossomed to well over 100 players during any given season. We are
strictly a steel tip co-ed league and are an ADO affiliated league.
Over the years, a lot has
changed with the league. Through member input and feedback, many changes
have been made to the format of the league in order to make it a more
fun and competitive league for players of all skill level. Currently the
league has two divisions; An “A” division and a “B” division. Because we
are not a large league and most people enjoying playing everyone in each
division, we have a very unique MVP point system and handicap system
that allows players of any skill level an opportunity to win a match
whether they are an “A” team or a “B” team. Also, with our unique MVP
scoring system, each player is able to gauge their own level of play
from season to season and from night to night regardless of their
individual team standings. This keeps it interesting for everyone all
season long. (Click “BULL” to see other links to rules and MVP scoring
system)
