Las Vegas Desert Classic LIVE

The Las Vegas Desert Classic has been going on the the past 4 days. Qualifiers already happened and we are now at the televised stage. Yesterday was the first round of televised. Unfortunately our one American who played yesterday (Scotty Burnett) did not make it through and lost 6-2 to John Part. Today however we have 3 more guys that still have a chance. Chris White will be playing at about 11:30am this morning. Bill Davis will be later and Darin Young will be finishing off the day with a match against Kevin Painter. Should be a GREAT match!

You can go here to see the current news and results

But you can go here to WATCH it all LIVE tomorrow for FREE and the rest of the weekend

BBQ Awards picnic

Well we finished up yet another season and now it's time for the annual BBQ. In the past we always did it at someone's house or at the park but the last few years we have been at the Joyce. Very nice of them to allow us to hold it there. But this year we are going back to the old tradition of having it at someone's house.

Tom Crawford has been nice enough to invite us to have it at his place. Or maybe I should say his WIFE has been nice enough to allow us to come over!!

I will announce details in the coming days via e-mails and I will post it here as well

Right now we are shooting for July 18th

Playoffs and BBQ

The schedule for the playoffs has been posted on this weeks Bull. All semis and finals will be played at the James Joyce. Please make note of who you play as playoffs will begin next week.

As for the BBQ this year we are still trying to figure out a venue and time. We are hoping to do it again at someone's house if possible so that families can attend. Erik, Mark???? Anyone want to step up? We will be having the event in July and e-mails and phone calls will be made to everyone once we finalize a date and time.

Erik said he will be running a King Of The Hill again this year starting the week after the finals of the Cup. Please talk to Erik to get the details. This is a fun singles type league that keeps you playing throughout the summer.

And don't forget about Pacmania in 2 weeks!!! EVERYONE should be going! This is the biggest thing for darts the US has seen and all of the support from everyone on the west coast is needed. Hope to see you all there.

Make ups and Play offs

As of this weeks Bull (Week #12) all make up games needed to be completed. Only one got done! The others were forfeits. This was NOT a good season guys! We had WAY too many missed matches, WAY too many people not sending in scores. I'm still missing 2 sheets. Fortunately they will not effect another teams outcome for winning the season. All scores have been adjusted and added to this weeks Bull so everyone can see where they stand. From here out it's just what games we have left.

Now remember we have the make up matches from Cinco De Mayo yet to still play. These will be played as the last match of the season next week. We will begin PLAYOFFS the following week June 16th. I will have the schedule posted on the next Bull.

Pacmania II & Make Ups

Hopefully everyone is aware of the upcoming Pacmania II dart tournament that will be held June 18-21 in Burbank. Manny Pacquiao is hosting a $100,000 shoot! This will be the biggest steel tip dart event that we have seen in the US in nearly 30 years. Please make sure to download the flyer under the tourney section of the website and make you plans to be there. It is going to be an AMAZING event. And I hear they may be something extra special coming that hasn't been announced yet! Stayed tuned!

Please make sure to have all make up games completed by May 31st so I can have all the results posted on the Bull with 2 weeks remaining to play.

CLIFF ROOM, READ UP!

It's a shame that I have to post this and have to post stuff on the bull but it seems the Cliff Room has no respect for this league. We have not received score sheets from their team for over a month. This effects the entire league. I have placed phone calls and posted on the Bull to no avail. I do not get paid to do this job and I'm not wasting one more second trying to chase down grown men that should be able to turn in a score sheet. If I do not have ALL scores from them by Friday of this week, all past matches will be deleted and they can forget coming back and playing in the league.

Call me immediately at 479-3809

$100,000 PacMania tourney in JUNE

After this past weekends first ever PacMania dart tourney in Los Angeles Manny Pacquiao has announced he is going to do it again in June in Los Angeles but this time it will be a $100,000 tourney!!!
Isaac and myself were the only ones from SB to make the drive down this past weekend. The event was in WAY to small of a venue for a $30,000 shoot and I know the people who ran it realized this. Manny was busy training for his upcoming fight against Pattan so he was not playing on Saturday but he was there. Sunday I guess was a mob scene with all of his entourage and the film crews from HBO. I think they will be showing some of the tourney coming up next month on HBO.

Anyway, as soon as I have the details on the June tourney I will post them here. Hopefully LOTS of people from SB will make the trip down

HELP!!!!!

Guys, you all know how hard it is for me to even find a moment to sit down and do the stats. It doesn't make it any easier when I have people not sending in score sheets and not filling them out correctly. I need ALL TEAMS to fill out a COMPLETE team roster. I need full names and e-mails for every player. This needs to be sent to me ASAP. Also, if you have not paid your team dues yet, please get them to Andy ASAP.

Thanks

Week #1 complete

It took us awhile to get the season started but I think it was worth waiting. We had only 4 teams a few weeks ago so I'm happy we ended up with 8. Even so, we did have a postponement which I was bummed happened. PLEASE make sure to make up your matches as soon as possible if you need to postpone. Also please make sure to notify at least one board member if a match needs to be rescheduled.

Week #1 Bull has been posted. Looked like most people were rusty due to the long lay off. I know I sure was! Now we can get back in a groove. Enjoy!

READY, SET......GO!

The new season is finally off to a start. We had a lot of changes in teams and had to wait to get everyone confirmed prior to making up a schedule. Hopefully all of the teams stay in it and we don't have a bunch of byes.

The schedule has been posted. Please make note of where you play. Again this is the season where everyone plays everyone TWICE. We did the best we could on making equal home and away games but some things needed to be shuffled due to conflict in venues. Mostly very equal though.

Enjoy the season! PLEASE make sure to pay for your league dues on the first night! One check for $140 payable to SBDA would be best.

Thanks and have a great season!
