Update on the SBDA Shirts

I have contacted the company we used to have the SBDA Shirts made last time and they still have all of the artwork for the shirts we made. We can have the exact same shirts made again in the same colors we had last time. The shirts would still be black as well because that is the color used for the black wedges of the board without needing ink and another color which would increase the price.

Here are the prices:
Polo shirts with pocket = $ 22
size XXL add $3
T-shirts with pocket = $ 14
size XXL add $2
All prices include set up fee and taxes

I need to have at least 24 shirts PRE SOLD before I order these. This would mean I need $$$ from anyone who wants a shirt and your shirt size. Please print out this e-mail and fill in the information needed. Then give it to me with your check made payable to SBDA. No cash!

Name : _________________________________________
Shirt Type : ____________________________________________
Quantity : ____________________________________________
Shirt Size : ____________________________________________

If anyone is interested in getting a fancier Hilton Bowling style shirt, check out this website:

These will be MUCH more expensive and will probably be around $48 per shirt. We need to have at least 12 Hiltons same style in order to proceed with these. The "Cosmic" style would be my vote in those.

That's it! If I get money from everyone by next week, I can have them ordered and in your hands by Playoffs.

LAS VEGAS DESERT CLASSIC

Hope all of you had a chance to see the Las Vegas Desert Classic this past fourth of July weekend on Fox Sports World. The event was by far the best tournament I have ever attended with nothing but the best players from all over the world in attendance. Please check out http://www.planetdarts.co.uk/ for all of the details. For those of you who know a lot of the players that play the circuit, take a look at the Elimination rounds that are posted on the site. To see some of the top names in the US go down in the early rounds gives you an idea of how hard the competition was. David Brinkhurst made it to a Board Final as well as myself in one of the elimination rounds which was quite a feat in  itself. Unfortunately, none of us made it on the TV for the finals on stage, but we all did in the audience! For those who are interested, I have VCR tapes of all of the rounds that I will be happy to bring down to the Pub to show everyone. I also took over 150 really great photos. I wish I had the webspace to post them all but I will put up just a couple here. I'll bring my laptop down to Dargan's next Tuesday night and run a slide show.

DENNIS PRIESTLEY EXHIBITION A HUGE SUCCESS

A big thank you goes out to Dennis Priestley for coming to Dargan's to hold the dart exhibition on June 28th. We had a great turn out and hopefully everyone enjoyed having a chance to play one of the best. To Dennis' credit, I do have to say that the darts he threw at Dargan's were sub-par to the darts I saw him throw in Vegas. Dennis ended up qualifying for the TV Finals beating the likes of people like John Lowe, Roger Carter, Barrie Bates, and many more.  Unfortunately he did not win the event or make it to the final match but he did throw some incredible darts throwing a 170 out in the match against Richie Burnett on live TV!!! I have a copy of that tape for all who want to see.

Due to the lack of website space, I have not posted all of the pictures I took of everyone at the exhibition. I will be happy to do that in the very near future but for now, here is a group shot we all took. I will do a slide show for everyone on Tuesday Night.

Thanks again Dennis! We hope to see you again soon!

NEW GUINNESS NUTRITIONAL INFO

Question: I have heard that it is possible to live on Guinness and milk alone. Is this true or even partially true?

Answer: This is not quite true. Guinness does contain many vitamins and minerals in small quantities, but is lacking vitamin C, as well as calcium and fat. So, to fulfill your daily nutritional requirements you would need to drink a glass of orange juice, two glasses of milk and 47 pints of Guinness.

Thank god we cleared that up. Looks like I need to increase my Guinness intake on Tuesday nights by 14 pints.
